4th of July BBQ Invitation Ideas for a Backyard Cookout
Video transcript
A Fourth of July barbecue invitation tells friends and neighbors the cookout is on, what is on the menu and what to bring.
Choose one main visual, such as sparklers, a checkered tablecloth or a hand-drawn burger, and add one supporting accent to the card. Two visuals are enough; a third usually makes the card look busy.
Three colors keep the invitation bright without making it hard to read. Navy text on a cream background is easy to scan on a phone, and red works well for the date and start time.
Naming the grill items and the sides you still need helps guests plan, and it helps prevent duplicate dishes on the table. Mention any dietary notes, such as vegetarian options or nut-free dishes.
On a holiday weekend, tell guests the start time, when the grill is lit, the yard entrance, where to park and whether the event is rain or shine.
A digital invitation can hold a map, a countdown and a reply button in one place, so guests can answer from a single link.
