Digital Holiday Party Invitations: The Host's Complete Guide

Video transcript

This guide explains how Onlivita's free digital holiday invitations work and how hosts can create and share one link.

A digital invitation is one shareable link with the event details and a reply button. It can also show a countdown, a map and music that starts as the card opens.

Digital invitations are faster and give you a live reply list. Paper cards still suit a small formal dinner where the card is kept. For larger parties, a link opens on a phone and the headcount updates itself.

Pick a themed template and edit only the fields guests actually read. The first two lines answer what, when, where and what to wear. Detail beats decoration every time.

Send a few weeks ahead for a seated holiday meal. For a casual open house, send closer to the date. One reminder the week of the party does more than posts.

Build the card in one sitting by choosing a theme and replacing the sample text. Add the venue, set a reply deadline, then preview the card on a phone.
