Wedding Invitations: Everything a Guest Needs, and How to Send It
Video transcript
This article explains what a wedding invitation needs, how to choose and send it, and how to manage replies.
A complete invitation states who is getting married, the date and time, and the venue. It also gives a reply date, a way to respond, and clear rules for children and plus-ones.
Paper carries weight through thick stock, a wax seal, and an envelope on the doormat. Digital removes printing, postage, and reprints, and replies arrive as recorded answers.
Choose the format and template first, then change only the wording and colours you care about. Send a test to yourself and submit a reply as though you were a guest.
Send invitations six to eight weeks before the day for a wedding at home. Allow twelve weeks or more when guests must book flights. Count backwards from the venue's final numbers date, not forwards from today.
Track every reply against a numbered guest list and set the reply date early. A digital reply form counts answers, meal choices, and dietary notes in one place.
All details are in the article.
